12th International Sports Medicine Fellows Abstract Award
The International Sports Medicine Fellows Conference has added two abstract based
awards to the program for the 2012 meeting.
The awards were created with the intention to highlight past orthopaedic sports
medicine fellows to contribute quality data and presentations to the
International Sports Medicine Fellows Conference.
There are awards in the categories of Hip Arthroscopy and
Articular Cartilage Repair. Each
first place winner will be invited to give a presentation at the 12th
International Sports Medicine Conference. Submissions are limited to 1 abstract per person per award.
This award is for the best abstract submitted via the online award application
process in the category of Hip Arthroscopy. Applicants must be previous Orthopaedic Sports Medicine
Fellows from 2009-2011 and be able to provide a 25 word summary of the abstract.
Abstracts and award applications must be submitted before December 1, 2011.
This award is for the best abstract submitted via the online award application process in the
category of Articular Cartilage Repair.

Review Process
All applications submitted for both
categories will be reviewed by faculty of the Sports Medicine Fellows
Conference. One finalist per category will be chosen based upon the quality of
the abstract and the data presented. The finalists will be invited to present at
the 12th International Sports Medicine Fellows Conference January
27-29, 2012 in Carlsbad, California.
Award
The Finalist of each award will
present during a special presentation at the 12th International
Sports Medicine Fellows Conference.
In addition to the presentation, the finalists will receive a US $2,000 monetary
award, as well as up to US $2,000 for travel expenses (Hotel, Airfare and
Transportation).
